About

Scenography and lighting of the exhibition objects in the Elephent Paname Art Center in Paris on 700m2. The theme of this exhibition was ‘the play of brilliants’. The phrase was made famous by the pioneer of architectural lighting design Richard Kelly. This poetic expression is used to describe the magic of light when it adds sparkle and vivacity to a space. The exhibition offered visitors an opportunity to play and to experience the brilliance of light as demonstrated by a selection of fantastical pieces.

Artists: Soo Sunny Park, USA; Haberdashery, UK; DGT Architects, France; Laura Bayliss, UK; Moritz Waldemeyer, UK; Whitevoid, Germany; United Visual Artists, UK; GNI Projects, UK; Flynn Talbot, Australia; Laurent Fort, USA

The layout of the Lumières exhibition was specially designed for Éléphant Paname: a real, history-rich architectural space, which added another dimension to the works shown. The eclectic mix of works in light, distributed over three floors, showed light in a playful manner, whilst creating an immersive, moving and interactive visitor’s experience.
